SATURDAY OPEN DAYS

SATURDAY OPEN DAYS

March 16, 2019 - December 28, 2019

The Rose Playhouse

Costume, Archaeology and Tudor Theatre

Every Saturday we explore a different aspect of The Rose's history. Come along and watch a short film narrated by Sir Ian McKellen, then participate in a workshop with our friendly and knowledgable volunteers.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Rose Playhouse, as you may know, is currently undergoing new development works in the building above it and is surrounded by scaffolding.  This has made it very difficult for passers-by to see that we are open on Saturdays for site visits and workshops.  There will soon be decorated hoardings on the scaffolding, which will show the Rose’s striking presence on Bankside both past and future.  Therefore, until the decorated hoardings are up, and our presence in Park Street is clear, we have decided to suspend our Saturday Open Days until further notice.  You can still visit The Rose as part of  a “Shakespeare’s Southwark" tour with Shakespeare's Globe (details on their website).

Please keep visiting this page for updated information.
