A Special Open Day celebrating Twelfth Night
12 noon to 4.00pm
Visit the site of The Rose Playhouse to discover traditions and customs of Twelfth Night, including:
Readings from Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night'
Cakes with a pea and bean in them to see who will be Lord Bean and Lady Pea!
ADMISSION IS FREE
(But donations are very welcome)
Film screenings: 12.15pm / 1.15pm / 2.15pm / 3.15pm
Workshops: 12.40pm / 1.40pm / 2.40pm / 3.40pm
Your donation will contribute directly towards the completion of ‘The Rose Revealed Project’. This will ensure the full excavation and conservation of The Rose site. The Rose Theatre Trust will also create a permanent exhibition and theatre space, with proper visitor facilities.
THE ROSE IS IN PARK STREET AND THE ENTRANCE IS IMMEDIATELY WEST OF (AND ADJACENT TO) SOUTHWARK BRIDGE.
The Rose is an indoor archaeological site, it is advisable to dress with an extra layer as there is no heating. There are also no toilets so please use Shakespeare’s Globe just a few hundred metres away.
